General Manager

MacGregor Recruitment are working in partnership with a composite door manufacturing business that fabricates and supplies high quality doors across the UK. The business is dynamic, ambitious, has backing and is on an impressive growth trajectory journey. 

They have now created an exciting new opportunity for a commercial and hands on General Manager to join the business, with the remit to lead the day to day operations and the strategic development of the business.

Key responsibilities:

• To oversee and lead the daily operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance
• Ensure the business operates to the highest quality standards throughout journey from initial customer enquiry to product delivery
• Team leadership – recruiting, developing and motivating to consistently achieve the highest standards as the business grows
• Sales management – ensuring the business achieves commercial targets and growth plans
• Operational performance - develop and implement strategies that facilitate growth and address areas of improvement
• Develop excellent working relationships with customers, supply chains and key partners

Skills & Experience:

• A track record of success in a senior management position within a window and door manufacturing business is essential
• Specific experience of leading a composite door manufacturing operation is highly desirable
• Experience to ideally include leadership of order processing, production, distribution and sales functions
• Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to motivate and improve teams
• Commercial approach - proficient with budget management, business analysis and able to maximise sales and profitability
• Able to design and implement new processes that improve efficiency where required
• The successful candidate will also have great organisational, relationship, communication and problem solving skills

The salary is anticipated as circa £55-65k depending on experience.
