QHSE / Quality Manager
MacGregor Recruitment have a great opportunity for an experienced QHSE Manager to join an established manufacturer and supplier of windows and doors based in North Nottinghamshire.
A key role where you will work with teams across the business and ensure that the business consistently manufactures high-quality uPVC windows and doors in a safe, legally compliant, and environmentally responsible manner, and to help drive continuous improvements in operational performance.
Key responsibilities:
Quality Management:
- To ensure all fabricated uPVC windows and doors meet customer specifications, system supplier requirements, and company quality standards
- Monitoring quality standards throughout the fabrication process and prior to delivery
- Investigate complaints and any quality issues using root cause analysis and to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Analyse data to identify opportunities to reduce defects & customer returns, supporting with continuous improvement projects to improve Right First Time performance
- Compliance - maintain ISO 9001 certification, plan and conduct audits.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S UK regulations and to maintain and develop H&S policies and procedures
- Carry out and review risk, COSHH & DSE assessments and manual handling, and to lead accident and near-miss investigations
Environmental Management:
- Maintain compliance, manage waste streams, promote waste reduction initiatives, monitor energy consumption and support sustainability projects.
Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in a QHSE role within a manufacturing environment - with proven success in reducing defects, improving safety, and maintaining ISO standards is required
- Specific experience of working with uPVC window and door fabrication is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, QHSE systems, UK Health & Safety legislation and inventory management software (ERP/MRP) is essential
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma qualifications are highly advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
- The successful candidate will also have strong organizational, analytical and attention to detail skills, and a problem-solving ability
Package:
- A salary is anticipated in the region of £45-50k depending on skills & experience
- 5 weeks annual leave plus statutory (33 days per year)
- Working times are 08.00-16.30 Monday to Friday (though some flexibility ie 07.30-4PM may be considered)
