Business Development Manager

MacGregor Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Business Development Manager with product knowledge and experience of supplying aluminium window and doors to join and develop relationships and sales across their Northern region. 

Our client is an established business that manufacturers and supplies a wide range of high quality performance aluminium fenestration products across the UK with a customer base that includes installation businesses, trade counters / showrooms and the new build sector. They have an excellent opportunity to join a high performing, professional specialist business.  

Key responsibilities:

• Joining an external sales team and reporting to the Sales Director you will develop and drive new business development activities across the region
• Build relationships and gain opportunities to present the products and services and negotiate commercial supply agreements with a broad range of potential new customers 
• Develop strong and trusting relationships with the existing customer base across the region, identifying additional sales opportunities where possible 
• Assess your customer and prospect base and identify and develop opportunities for them to increase the sales of the products

Skills & Experience:

• A successful track record of developing trade sales within the fenestration trade supply sector is essential
• Specific product knowledge and experience with Aluminium products is essential 
• Excellent people and communication skills – able to develop rapport and build relationships with a diverse customer base
• Commerciality and flexibility – able to identify the specific needs of the customer and pivot effectively to find a solution to those needs
• Organised, detailed and able to work effectively independently
• A valid driving licence and comfortable with extensive travel for site visits across the region

The Package:

• Base salary of £50-60k depending on experience plus a bonus scheme
• £10k car allowance
• 25 days annual leave (increases with service) plus statutory
