Purchasing / Forecasting Analyst

MacGregor Recruitment specialise in the fenestration sector. We have a great opportunity for a Purchasing / Forecast Analyst to join an established fabricator and supplier of upvc and aluminium windows and doors based in the Alfreton/Mansfield area. Reporting to the Commercial Director this is a great opportunity to help develop and drive improvements across the purchasing function.

Purchasing / Forecast Analyst role:

• Provide day to day backup and support for our Purchasing Manager you will help develop the procurement functions- actively reduce stock levels, rationalise Suppliers and deliver targeted cost savings
• Day to day management of the inventory, developing relationships and maintaining service levels with our Suppliers - ensuring our levels of stock and demand are forecasted correctly
• Supporting a benchmarking programme - identifying product ranges for cost reductions to deliver targeted cost savings.
• Negotiate terms and best prices for all products and actively rationalise the supplier base.
• Sourcing products in terms
• Work with Group businesses to identify, categorise, and source parts of best value
• Allocate stock daily and analyse material requirement reports triggering re-order points.

Skills and experience:

• A proven track record of delivering measurable and achievable targeted cost savings within a manufacturing environment - driving stock down whilst maintaining and managing levels accurately
• Purchasing/Forecasting experience essential
• Specific experience and an understanding of the fenestration sector is highly desirable
• Regularly review and monitor usages, adjust min/max stock levels and ensure forecasts are updated and provided to suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
• Purchasing/CIPS qualification is an advantage

The role has a salary of £34-40k depending on experience
