Factory Manager / Operations Manager

MacGregor Recruitment are specialist recruiters for the UK fenestrations sector. Our client is a small but growing specialist manufacturer of high quality aluminium sliders, bifolds and rooflights, supplying trade and trade distributors.  

We have an excellent opportunity for an industry experienced manager to join the business as Factory Manager. A hands on multi-faceted role you will lead the day to day operations and ensure the business operates effectively and continues to achieve the highest quality standards at all time.

Factory Manager role:

• Working closely with the Managing Director and supported by an experienced Supervisor you will oversee all aspects of the day to day factory operations
• Manage and develop a small but high calibre team of 8, ensuring that production targets and product quality standards are achieved consistently
• Scheduling the production schedule, stock management & purchasing of materials required and delivery schedules
• Ensure the site health & safety
• Review process and production flows, recommending business improvement plans where appropriate
• Help resolve any issues with customers effectively as they arise 

Skills and Experience:

• Significant experience of aluminium window and door production experience is essential
• Production Management / Factory Management / Operations management experience
• Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
• Great people and management skills – able to inspire and lead the team to achieve
• Experience and knowledge of LEAN manufacturing is an advantage
• A customer centric approach 

Package:

Salary circa £40k DOE. 20 days annual leave that increases 1 day a year of service to 25, plus statutory holidays.
